What is ADCA?
ADCA stands for Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications.
It is a diploma‑level IT/Computer‑Applications course intended to provide broader computer application, software, programming and office productivity skills.
It is aimed at students who want to improve their computer skills for office roles, IT support, web design, programming basics, etc.
Eligibility & Duration
Eligibility:
Many institutes accept students who have passed 10th standard. Some prefer 12th or equivalent.
Duration:
Typical duration is around 1 year (12 months).
Typical Course Contents / Curriculum
Computer Fundamentals (Hardware, Software, Operating Systems)
Microsoft Office Suite: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
Internet & Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, maybe JavaScript, website design.
Database Management Systems, Programming Basics (C, C++ etc).
Accounting Software/Office Applications: e.g., Tally, GST, etc.
Graphic Designing Tools: Photoshop, CorelDraw, PageMaker etc.
Soft Skills / Spoken English / Typing etc.
Project/Practical Work: applying the skills learned.
