What is ADCA?

• ADCA stands for Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications.

• It is a diploma‑level IT/Computer‑Applications course intended to provide broader computer application, software, programming and office productivity skills.

• It is aimed at students who want to improve their computer skills for office roles, IT support, web design, programming basics, etc. 

Eligibility & Duration

Eligibility:

• Many institutes accept students who have passed 10th standard. Some prefer 12th or equivalent.

Duration:

• Typical duration is around 1 year (12 months). 

Typical Course Contents / Curriculum

• Computer Fundamentals (Hardware, Software, Operating Systems) 

• Microsoft Office Suite: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

• Internet & Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, maybe JavaScript, website design.

• Database Management Systems, Programming Basics (C, C++ etc).

• Accounting Software/Office Applications: e.g., Tally, GST, etc.

• Graphic Designing Tools: Photoshop, CorelDraw, PageMaker etc.

• Soft Skills / Spoken English / Typing etc.

• Project/Practical Work: applying the skills learned.
